The third season of Bridgerton has now all released, and it could not be more exciting to see the Bridgerton siblings and the Ton once again. Season 3 continues the stories of fan-favorite characters, while also introducing entirely new faces to the cast.Bridgerton season 3 is based on the fourth novel in Julia Quinn’s “Bridgerton” book series, “Romancing Mister Bridgerton,” and sees the blossoming romance of Colin and Penelop brought to its natural ending.

By now, Bridgerton has a cast that is full of familiar, fan-favorite actors. Characters like Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte remain pillars of the third season, while the Bridgerton family remains mostly intact, besides Phoebe Dynevor’s Daphne, who has exited for Bridgerton season 3.

However, Coughlan began acting long before these roles, in 1997. Her first role was in a movie called My Brother’s War. Nicola Coughlan’s breakout role was in 2018’s Derry Girls, and soon after, she earned a role in the British TV series, Harlots. In Bridgerton, Coughlan plays Penelope, a shy wallflower who has long harbored a crush on her neighbor, Colin Bridgerton.

Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton

Born: February 5, 1993

Luke Newton was born in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. He began his acting career in 2010 when he appeared in BBC Two’s teen drama The Cut. In 2016, he went on to star in a Disney Channel series entitled The Lodge. Newton’s true breakout though was likely Bridgerton, in which he has played Colin Bridgerton for three seasons now. In Bridgerton, Colin is the third eldest Bridgerton sibling and his known for his constant travels and his expansive feelings. Though he entertains other love interests, season 3 will see him fall in love with Penelope.

Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury

Born: January 14, 1963

Adjoa Andoh was born in Clifton, Bristol, England. She has enjoyed a very active and diverse career, appearing not only on TV and in movies, but also participating in theatre productions and radio dramas. Though she appeared in EastEnders in 1991, Andoh’s breakout role was when she starred in the medical drama Casualty from 2000 to 2003. Another pivotal role for Andoh was playing Nelson Mandela’s Chief of Staff, Brenda Mazibuko, in Clint Eastwood’s movie, Invictus. Andoh’s role in Bridgerton is Lady Danbury, a sassy and influential figure in London’s ton.

Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte

Born: May 2, 1970

Golda Rosheuvel was born in Guyana, and later settled with her family in Hertfordshire, England. Her acting career began in 2000, though she mostly appeared on stage in various theatre productions, including Othello, Angels in America, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Her first on-screen role was in a 2001 production of Jesus Christ Superstar as part of Great Performances. She later made guest appearances in several television series like Casualty and Torchwood, however her breakout role is likely Bridgerton. In the series, Rosheuvel plays Queen Charlotte, the strict yet quirky Queen of England.

Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton

Born: April 25, 1988

Jonathan Bailey was born in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, England. Bailey began acting at a very young age, appearing in theatre productions like Les Miserables, and more recently, The Last Five Years. In terms of the screen, Bailey’s first notable role was in the 2011 series, Leonardo. He also appeared in the 2016 Netflix series, Crashing.

However, Bailey’s career truly saw a boost when he appeared as Anthony Bridgerton in Bridgerton. Anthony is the family’s patriarch and was previously known for his rakish behavior before meeting his love interest, Kate Sharma.

Simone Ashley was born in Camberley, Surrey. In 2016, Ashley’s career began with a string of supporting roles in projects like Wolfblood, Guilt, and Broadchurch. Her breakthrough role, however, was as Olivia Hanan in Netflix’s 2019 series Sex Education. In 2021, Ashley left the final season of Sex Education to appear as Kate Sharma in Bridgerton season 2. Kate is a responsible and independent woman who unexpectedly finds love, despite her age, with the rakish Anthony Bridgerton.

Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton

Luke Thompson was born in Southhampton and raised in France. His acting career began on the stage, though he eventually transitioned to television in 2014 when he took on the role of Simon in the BBC One drama, In the Club. He also played a minor role in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. However, Bridgerton is Thompson’s breakout role. In Bridgerton, Thompson plays Benedict, the second eldest Bridgerton child, who avoids marriage and pursues more artistic and romantic pursuits. It is believed that Benedict’s story could be told in the next season of Bridgerton.

Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton

Born: October 30, 1989

Her acting career began in 2012 with various minor roles in television series like Casualty and Doctors. Jessie’s breakthrough came in 2017 when she earned the role of DC Jodie Taylor in Line of Duty and Lucy in the sitcom Porters. Later, she earned the role of Eloise Bridgerton in 2020’s Bridgerton. Eloise is the fourth Bridgerton child and the most unique. She is bookish, opinionated, and stubborn. In season 3, her friendship with Penelope is put to the test.

Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton

Born: October 1967

Ruth Gemmell was born in Bristol, England. Gemmell has had a very successful career both on stage and on screen. Her first big on-screen role, and arguably her breakout, was in 1996’s police procedural Silent Witness. From there, she went on to star in movies like Fever Pitch, 2 January, and Tracy Beaker’s Movie of Me.

More recently, Gemmell appeared in 2015’s Penny Dreadful and 2020’s Bridgerton. In Bridgerton, Gemmell plays Violet Bridgerton, the matriarch of the family. She enjoys meddling in the lives of her children, however she is very wise and kind.

Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton

Born: May 17, 1995

Hannah Dodd was born Colchester, England. Dodd’s career began in modeling, however in 2018, she landed her first on-screen role in Hulu’s Find Me In Paris. She quickly earned more roles in Harlots, Eternals, and Anatomy of a Scandal. More recently, Dodd appeared in Netflix’s Enola Holmes 2.

Francesca is the sixth Bridgerton sibling, and her personality is somewhat guarded in comparison to her siblings. She is more of a wallflower than Daphne, and prefers her own company, particularly when practicing her great passion for music. She finds a kindred spirit in John Stirling (Victor Alli).

Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton

Florence Hunt is a British actress. Hunt’s first role as an actress came in 2020 when she played the younger version of Katherine Langford’s character Nimue in the fantasy series, Cursed. That same year, she first appeared as Hyacinth Bridgerton in Netflix’s Bridgerton. She is slated to appear in a project called Queen of the Sea. In Bridgerton, Hunt’s character Hyacinth is the youngest Bridgerton sibling. She is precocious and eager to enter court, though she is far from being of age.

Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton

Will Tilston is an English actor. He has appeared in two projects since the start of his career in 2017. Tilston’s first role was as Christopher Robin Milne in 2017’s Goodbye Christopher Robin. In 2020, he took up the role of Gregory Bridgerton in Bridgerton. Gregory is the second-youngest child of the Bridgerton family. Like his sister Hyacinth, he enjoys playing and getting into minor trouble. His will likely be one of the last Bridgerton stories told by the show.

Polly Walker was born in Warrington, Lancashire, England. Polly Walker has enjoyed a long career of success in movies and television. In 1991, she earned her first two roles in her feature film debut, Journey of Honor, and in the television series, Lorna Doone. Her real breakthrough came a year later though, when she appeared in The Patriot Games.
